white smoke, gunk in the header tank, losing lots and lots of coolant with no bad leaks, pressurisation of the header tank to the point of the cap hissing, starting to run very lumply.

its going to be cheaper for me to get a totally different engine and get the garage to drop it in. 100 - 200 quid cheaper :o

right guys well a quick update, no pics at the moment but i thought id let you all know my plans..

Ive managed to get hold of a V6 lump which should be pushing 200bhp ish, (Cams, FRP, Throttle body enlarged + inlet enlarged, full 3" decat stainless system, 3.2 alternator, vectra camcovers etc) and a turbo balanced flywheel. Ill be hooking that up to an F28 and ive got almost everything i need to do the conversion.

So thats the engine sorted, just all needs dropping in now.

Now the bodywork will be changing a little and i know a lot of you wont like this but never mind :P

The Team Dynamic DTM's ive got will be totally refurbed in white, a full wide arch kit and then the full DTM vinyls will be put on.

Ive managed to get an irmscher spoiler with a 3rd brake light so that will be going on soon and hopefully it will look almost identical to this...

(except for the rear spoiler will be smaller and the front splitter will be the reiger front splitter but apart from that im going for the same look)

Few months of work left :)

Good ideas Fraggie, Im liking it allot. I just hope you keep focused and reach your dream as I'll love to see the finish result.

Bad luck with the engine but things do happen for the best as you probably wouldnt of been intrested in that 200bhp engine if yours was running ok. I guess you might of even saved yourself some money by buying an engine already highly moded.

I'll ping over some pics of my white v6 soon as its coming out of the body shop this week. Hopefully it give you some ideas or at least get you excited as it certainly show you just how good white modded callys really look.

Keep up the good work Fraggie

Well today ive been taking the engine apart a bit and given her a good clean, t-cut polish and wax to make sure the bodywork stays in good nick whilst shes off the road.

The dtm wheels are off at the moment being cleaned ready for the refurbing in white :)

Front bumpers off too ready for the engine removal.

Just having trouble at the moment with the damned throttle cable, ive taken the retaining clip out and cant get the sheaf off the ball on the throttle body :(

Thats about where im up to at the mo :)

throttle cable is now off :D (cut with a pair of wire cutters :D)

been doing a fair bit recently in short hour long bursts.

Got the radiator out, the inlet off and most of the loom off the engine, just a few little bits to get off after that and the exhaust and shes ready for the old heave ho :)

Am starting to look for the spacers for the f28 now or at least some designs or specifications so i can make them so if anybody can help with that it would be most appreciated :)

Not too long left now on the engine side :) Should all be done in april and then onto the bodywork :D
