Welcome to the site mate, glad to hear of another cally saved, yes they can be a labour of love but worth it in the end. As for the Parcel Shelf I'd make one out of MDF and cover it in black cloth if I was you as all the factory ones end up going saggy eventually.

As promised i took some pics today, work has been slow as getting there is proving hard with no transport plus i've damaged my ciatic nerve so working on it from me is kinda dificult at the moment but my brother has been getting his hands dirty for me..
The old oill was treated with flushing agent and dropped with new oil and filters, theres no more fuel leaks and the engine is quiet with no tappet sounds. Its nice as the car now fires up on the first turn and everything works as it should.

My brother has come forward as his eager to tackle the dirty alloys, in fact after the photos were taken he washed and waxed the car and i must admit it made a difference, new pictures will be added when shes looking even tidier.

Heres pics of here before she was cleaned or more or less how i got her, also sorry for the half of the car in each pic as the drive shes on is narrow the next pics will be better....

yes thats 2 years of dirt and one semi clean alloy.

You have to break it to make it better.

A couple of questions..

The front bumper on the car has been repaired at some point as i can see filler on there and the paint in places has cracked and gone all spidery webbed, is the front bumper the same as other yeared calibras.
Also the back bumper strip on the right has formed a sag or bubble, were these just plastic coated as i may go down the path of colour coding if its just plastic coated and the grey stuff is easliy removable....

I've got to put together a shopping list, so far the fuel filler cover the whole middle section of paint has turned into one massive bubble,
my drivers side mirror cover is just rattling around and theres a couple on interior trim bits missing (there silly bits but i know there missing which bugs the tits off of me as my eye just trains on them instantly when i sit in the car).

Some good news i found the missing side strip off of the front wing.

And one last question was the DTM white colour the same as other white callys.
You have to break it to make it better.

Yes the DTM is the same white. It's called Glacier White, the King of all Calibra colours. Yes, even better than Mag blue

I'm just a little confused because I can probably rake up 100+ quotes of you saying Mag blue is the best colour?? :P

Cheers Trigger and Shifty  :)

Sourcing some new white replacement bits should be easier.

A quick question what adhesive do you use to reput back on the small bit trim on the wing as mine had fell off.
You have to break it to make it better.

For the plastic trim, as it's pretty light, you'd probably get away with double sided foam tape http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=33766&C=Froogle&U=33766&T=Module just make sure that both surfaces are totally clean first.

Alternatively (& my personal favourite) is Tiger Seal http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Tiger-Seal-Polyurethane-Adhesive-Sealant-White-/180552060249?pt=UK_Body_Shop_Supplies_Paint&hash=item2a09bdcd59 you'll take the wing with it if you try to remove the trim after this stuff sets! :)

Cheers DanBastardisedHybridCali bra for the links  :)

Had a search but couldn't find what i was looking for, i need to get a new drivers side mirror as the main internal is broken. the mirror adjust as it should but the bracket that holds the main outer mirror cover has snapped so my plastic cover rattles around.

My questions are, were all calibra mirrors from the SE1 TO SE9 the same and were they all electric and come with the heated glass as mine has the 2 wires that go to the mirror, i presume these must activate with the rear defroster.

You have to break it to make it better.

Got a Glacier White bumper you can have if you fancy a trip to Mablethorpe on the east coast. I can't send it you because I live in Derby and it is in my mates garage. You will need to put the silver V Badge trim from your exsisting bumper onto it though.

Cheers Zux for the offer of the bumper  :)

Unfortunetely at the moment i'm transportless, the cally is nearly ready for a MOT as soon as shes through and run around for a month (to iron out any probs) i would be highly interested in getting a new front bumper...the only reason i need to run it for a month is shes been standing for almost two years and knowing my luck something will give up the ghost (fingers crossed it don't) i've looked at the routefinder and its a 4 hour drive to pick it up and 4 hours back.

You can have it for nothing, you'll have to arrange your own courier though. Just let me know either way. There is a bit of scuffing on one of the rub strips but you can always replace them with the ones of yours.

another DTM!, welcome to the site mate.In answer to an earlier question DTMs had a unique cloth interior with yellow flecks in it but black leather was available as a very limited option. My V6 DTM has black leather. They also had an Irmscher badge under the rear numberplate, which are very rare now (had to get mine from Germany!).anymawho, enjoy the site and any questions just ask.
So long V6 DTM :(  ......
