Larger inlet manifod for v6
« on: February 03, 2018, 23:35:15 PM »
Hi m8s and glad to write you about this.
It's a couple of months I'm working with an austrian guy who had built a larger inlet manifold included the mid section with is the real bottle neck of our V6 engine.
He have 3d printed and on this video you can see what are results of this inlet fitted on a 3.2 stock (only exhaust manifold as I've seen on videos). He's going to also test on a standard 2.5 to can understand wich is the improved power it figures out.
Standard 2.5 inlet is really restrictive and on a 3.0 you should be happy to see 200/205hp (no better power figures on a 3.2). I'll update you for 2.5 dyno results but thinking on 238hp on a standard 3.2 sound like a 20/30th hp might be achievable.
Stay tuned for a production series update....

Now that is pretty damn cool!!! 3d printed!
Lewis Hamilton said that winning his first race felt better than having sex. Kimi's reply to that was, Maybe he never had sex.

Yep but only sample is printed,Allumide isn't as Ali is.Of course there are a ton of plastic inlet plenums on stock cars but alumide isn't like plastic and costs of 3D printing way isn't cheap as a casted one
