Cool Photos Inside!: Cars gone in for a full re-spray

Car got delivered to Demon Bodystyling earlier this evening for the re-spray.  After a long, and sometimes tedious search for a decent colour (thanks everyone for their opinions and pics of other cars), I have plumped for a blue-green-gold colour changing paint.

The car has a couple of donor parts (bumper, bonnet) and some small surface areas of rust coming through.  The nearside rear quarter had a door opened into it quite hard that is the only damage that needs repairing.

More pictures will be coming soon.  Just hoping I can get a decent kit cheap before we start spraying the colour on.

Nice one mate, looking forward to seeing it!! Just out of curiosity do you not feel a tiny bit mad spending thousands respraying an 'L' plate Calibra? Your respray is worth more than the car?!

The owner of Demon Bodystyling is a mate that owes me a 'BIG' favour from years back (no better time to call it in), and working in a paint factors the primer, paint, lacquer and everything else is only costing me in the region

Ok, so I spent a couple of hours after working in the morning saturday stripping out the rear lights, removing the spoiler and dodgy blue bonnet.

The wife had big plans for me  :o for saturday evening (involving copious amounts of Kronenberg so I couldn't argue) so didn't get too much done.

Been up again this evening and made a start on the front end.

Removed front bumper, headlights are out, crumple panel came off and made a start with a twist knot wheel on the slam panel removing all signs of any rust.

Sorry the picture is so dark but half the lights didn't work in one end of the workshop. :(
