Rear handbrake backing plates for MOT
« on: October 02, 2018, 12:52:13 PM »
My blue calibra is in for MOT, mentioned to the garage that the handbrake needed looking at, seemed to pull on only one wheel. Phone call today, brake works fine, just not attached to anything....and not available from Vauxhall. Two new plates from Germany on it's way, large amount of cash going in the opposite direction  :-\

I got a new O/S one and had it reversed to fit N/S :)

Did you drill out all the spot welds then switch position 180 deg to get it to work then weld it up? Never seen one close up but looks like a two piece item from the photo.
