The Mabo meet is back on this year in the same location as before, the above dates are provisional and will be confirmed 100% tomorrow
Due to problems last year we were banned from returning to the site but thanks to Ash's intervention (Several in depth conversations) we have now been allowed to return on the understanding that there are no further problems and we cannot attend on the bank holiday weekend as we have the last two years.
As it happens this year the May bankholiday is later so we should actually be there on the same weekend as last year but it will be less busy, this is defiantly the last reprieve that we will get on this site, ANY further problems and we will NOT be allowed to return which would be a real shame as it is a great site and meet and always enjoyed by all who attend
As a result of this there are two main rules in place
1/ There will be no driving around the site after the consumption of alcohol, Ash and Mark (campsite owner) would like the cars to be parked in such a manner to prevent them being used once people have had a drink and if this is not possible for keys to be retained by myself
2/ No one wants to stop anyone having a good time (Look at my drink consumption at Billing) but this can be done without causing offence to others using the site, just to be aware that this is a small site and there may still be families present
Any activity that could be deemed to cause offence or show the club in a bad light (what ever the intention) will be met with 0 tolerance
Now that is done and out of the way I am hoping that we will see a better attendance this year after the recent success at Billing and am looking forward to a really good weekend, this will be our 5Th year in Mabo and hopefully be followed by many more

Due to the success of the donations at Billing I propose that we have a singe donation of ?5 per member attending (To be held in trust by Alz) towards BBQ and beer (if enough in attendance) can also go toward either some awards OR the much enjoyed treasure hunt run and arranged by Dr Zux

I will leave this thread to be used for questions, chat and suggestions and start another thread for the list

MOD EDIT (ALZ)
Barra has put his 'neck on the line' as organiser of this. Any more nonsense will not be tolerated at this event or his membership of .com will be in jeopardy. I'm sure none of you wish this to happen and you will all respect his decisions as to what is asked of you during the meet ref behaviour.
Thank you all in advance for your co operation.
