Do you have breakdown cover? To get it towed somewhere.

I heard water pump was not hard to replace yourself.
Maybe you can have a crack with one from Autovaux

The water pump itself isint hard to change. Hardest part is re-doing the timing.

Liking the optimism.

If it was your water pump alone, you would still be able to turn the engine over, water doesn't stop the engine cranking over. I don't want to be the bearer of bad news but i'd say you're looking at something much more severe than just a faulty water pump.

You will need further investigation but id guess your cam belt has slipped or maybe even snapped and it has caused internal engine damage.

That's not good, it could be something simple or something severe. Does it try and fire up or is it as dead as a dildo?

If I was you I would push it over to the side of the kerb. Start walking home or better still get a mate to pick you up. Grab your tools and return back to the car with a trusty tow rope just in case.

Get underneath it and start having a poke around as you maybe able to fix it on the side of the road. Failing that get your mate to tow you home or to a garage.

When you turn the key, does the engine turn over?

If yes, you'll probably be OK

If no, you've probably put a rod through the block via a waterway, which means you win 50 internets :D :)
