If you are short of money then leave the water pump, the timing belt AND rollers are more important.

If the water pump is old then I'd change it as soon as you have the money. As said, depends if you are doing it, where time is free or you are paying a garage to do it.

I'd give the water pump a go myself probably TBH or Pete mate would do it on a Sat, he 's not charging what you would call standard garage rates and he lives next door but one so no biggy to go back at a later date :)

Is it the non ac aux belt they've sent? How do you know the water pump is on its way out?

Thought you were doing the cam belt?

Aux belt is a 20 min job (yes, really 20 mins unlike a rear knock sensor) so can't you do the cambelt anyway & replace the aux belt when the right one arrives?

Do the waterpump at the same time, you'll still get a week or two motoring out of it while you wait for parts. :)

God knows but it's way to short. Cos Pete said he could hear it, I drive around with my rib cage moving.

Cam belt is done, and oil and filter change. Pointless putting it back together when the correct belt and pump will be here Mon ;)

Water pumps aren't too bad, ?30 on the bay

I've told Pete to order one for Mon, can't be arsed waiting, I'm off next week, hospital appointment and sh*t, I just want my car, not rely on borrowing what ever is on the drive ;D

If this was a Mon it would be sorted by now, blooming typical!
