Can any one tell me what it costs to fit lpg to your calli saw bad kids the other week and it got me thinking that's all ,what's involved in fitting , how much it costs ,is it worth it etc.

Could cost anywhere from £150 to £2000 depending on
- If the kit is new or used
- The make of the kit
- If you fit it yourself or not

The main benefits are more power, and half price fuel

The main drawback is it adds maybe 50kg to your car, and takes up some boot space. You can get tanks that go in the spare wheel well.

Fitting is pretty simple if you're a competent DIY mechanic

It was just a thought after see we yours,but should really think about getting mine through the mot first

Go for it if you have the money and/or skills, it pays for itself then saves you money

I'm surprised more people don't fit it

Had a few of my motors on LPG including my DTM and if you do the mileage then you end up paying half the price.....When mine was fitted I paid for a company to do it and it was just over £1200............  I had an Astra Estate that I did the same with but the company who did it, messed up and bang went the engine in under 1,000 miles.......they ended up paying for the engine repair at just over £2500, but only after lots of threats and finally going via small claims.
