Calibra Engine Conversion
« on: March 30, 2015, 19:15:25 PM »
Bit of background first...I have a mk3 Astra gsi that i have owned for several years. Last year, i decided i wanted to carry out a c20let conversion. After sourcing all the parts, i managed to gain access to an engine crane and fit it into the Astra. After many days spent working on the car, i managed to get it running with a few minor issues that needed sorting to get it running correctly. Few days before its mot, i discovered a rotten sill hiding beneath the side skirt and a big hole in the inner arch together with a few minor bits of rust that need addressing. After discovering the rust, it has just been sitting on my driveway as i was returning to uni at the time. Since then, i have bought a Calibra v6 which i am using as a daily and was thinking about putting the c20let into the Calibra as i fancied a bit of a change from the Astra. I no longer have access to the crane and don't have the patience to go through the whole process again by myself.

I was wondering if anyone knew any reputable places that do engine conversions in the south east? Or anyone on the forums that may be able to take it on? I am more than happy to be there as an extra pair of hands helping with the conversion.

Thanks in advance.
