Indicators (just for fun)
« on: September 30, 2010, 02:30:26 AM »
So how is everyone dealing with the reversed indicators? (on the left hand side)
I instantly got used to driving it home after I bought it, but my mum and brother still turn the wipers on instead of indicating. It's quite funny to watch  ;D
Tbh, after switching from car (cally) to car (excel) it can become a bit confusing.  ???

Some Japanese cars and others have back to front indicators and wipers in the UK, my mates Hyundai Coupe was a good example, I was constantly putting on the wipers :-\

The majority of cars in the UK used to be right hand indicators once ;D. Our Mazda 323F has the stalk on the right

This isn't my first Euro car, so I'm finding it ok, but this is the first time that I've also owned a non Euro car at the same time, so there is sometimes a mess up as I change from car to car :P

I learned to drive in a Mazda 323 which had indicators on the right. Before I passed, I bought myself an Astra & practised in that lots before my test & was often switching between the 2 cars. I never got the stalks confused once.
I just can't beep the horn in a hurry though. I keep pressing the airbag!

I can jump from the Gemini into the Calibra, without any issues at all...

Apart from the difference in Power of course...

Yes, Mate...

I've had this Loyal Car since the year 2000  :)

It's a White SL/E Model, as featured in this promo video @ 2:30 but those are Red and Yellow

Wasn't the 1990 Gemini the ROW version of the Isuzu Impulse? Never a UK car but the engine & gearbox got tuned a little for the FWD Lotus. :D

In Australia, there's only 1985-87 Year Models of the Gemini FWD...
Which I do believe, comes in a Turbo Version in a few other countries...

Don't know about 1990 Geminis. Production of the Australian model stopped in '86 and were replaced with the Holden Astra, which ironically, was not a Vauxhall back then, but a Nissan Pulsar ???
