Sticky: Guide to Uploading Images
« on: March 14, 2009, 19:31:37 PM »
Due to the number of people asking about uploading pictures - and a request from some members please read the following guide to adding images to your posts .

Firstly choose a hosting site . I prefer tinypic.com but theres photobucket and servimg.com which are all user friendly sites - if i can do it anyone can !

Follow the sites instuctions on uploading your image then highlight and copy the IMG code for forums and message boards then paste that code in your response here .

If anyone knows of other sites that they`d like to recommend please feel free to add them below .

Hope this helps  ;)

www.photobucket.com

click on one of the four icons shown -

MY COMPUTER
WEB URL
MOBILE PHONE
EMAIL

Normally you will be clicking on MY COMPUTER

And then click CHOOSE FILES

A small box will then open, In the box search for your pictures folder and then click OPEN, Find your picture click on it then click OPEN and the pic will automatically open in your Photobucket album.

In MY ALBUM Place your cursor over the picture you require and four links will appear underneath, Right click on the forth link IMG CODE and the link will turn blue.
Left click the link and click on COPY

When you want to insert a picture in a post just left click and click on PASTE and the link will appear.

To check if the picture is correct just click on PREVIEW at the bottom of your reply and the post will appear at the top ready for submission.

 :)

I find tinypic easiest, however, photobucket will keep the pictures so in the long run it is better. :)

I'm not sure who created that photobucket account but that was a great idea & help to the members. Karma pending the unvieling of said member! :)
