WTF ARE SPIDERS?
http://www.clubcalibra.com/website-issues/bugfix-list-for-clubcalibra-v2-00/Link to issues thread!
Spiders are what search engines (Google, Yahoo, Bing etc) use to constantly scour web pages across the internet to generate "key words" used when you do a search for a subject in them. You may have noticed that sometimes if you've searched on Google for a Calibra related subject, it's brought up pages from CC.Com that contains the words you've searched for. That's what a spider does, creates a database of websites & thier content for the search engine.Perfectly good & they do us all a favour!
Speak english man
Right, when you type something into Google (for arguments sake, say you've typed "Calibra lowering springs) how do you think that you then get a list of sites that contain information on what you've searched for?A little program, deployed by Google, spends 24 hrs a day, 365 days a year constantly recording words from every website it visits (they are out there constantly so that's a hell of a lot of websites) & building a database of the words contained in them. So, when we search for something, Google can then give you that magic list of websites to visit because it's already been there & recorded all of the content.Make sense?
I said ENGLISH, you no speaka da english Dan?
Oh f*ck off & go buy an abacus!
wot is a abacus Dan?
It's a calculator for old people
Spiders are basically automated web surfers that scower the internet and add pages of interest to the search index of Google, Yahoo etc. So when a new topic appears in a search engine as a result, it is because a spider has 'spidered' it beforehand

Mods can you police the Bug fix and ensure that people enter bugs as requested, i.e. copying/pasting the list. Also, if people are stuck or confused about something, please refer them to the first post of the list containing explanation.
I've tried explaining that to our "Chops", give up!
Haha! If someone can understand the concept of 'bugs' in computer s/w, I don't see why it is more difficult to understand 'spiders' 'crawling' around the internet looking for 'key words' and phrases to stick in their database.
'I have a few 'key words' you can stick in your database J@z
WTF ever happened to that cocknose Richie86? he was on here all the time and was a mod, I know he hasn't been on in a long time but he doesn't show up as a mod anymore, Did he quit? as I notice that other cocknose cardie wearer K30 is still a mod and he hasn't been around since there was snow in the Sahara, which is a shame cos his missus Emstick had an awesome BFA
