Announcement: Our Continuing Success...
« on: March 03, 2008, 20:08:27 PM »
For those 'geeks' amongst you, I thought I'd post up some stats. As members of this community you're entitled to a little bit of backend knowledge, consisting of our growth and popularity! Whether it interests you or not, I'm going to share it anyway  8)

During this period: May 2006 to March 2008 (663.40 days)

  • We have served over 17 million pages to ClubCalibra members
  • Transfered a CD a day (700mb) in bandwidth to member's PC's
  • Including images, served 60 million 'hits' by ClubCalibra members

I've attached some interesting graphs that show our massive increase in members, posts, topics and 'users online' - lets try and achieve a 'users online' record this year!!

I hope that this is of interest to some!!

Sorry for responding to my own thread, but its interesting, the drop off of visitors/users online during the Xmas/New Year period, with most having that time off, you'd expect the figure to perhaps be higher!!

Perhaps proof that most of our users browse the site during working hours   :)

whats the numbers on the Y axis of the graph represent? bandwith used?

sorry im really trying to be a geek, it's just all 3 (most online, new members and new posts) are pretty much together

if i wasn't as clever as i am ;) looking at the graph it looks as if from March 2007 - May 2007 we went from 8000 to 16000 members.

Or maybe the majority (like me!!) were too drunk to log on :D

hmm yeah you could be right there matey. I think the lines for 'new members', and 'most online' are wrong. Especially as the most new members we had in one month was 404

So they defo should'nt be following the same line as 'new posts' lol.

stupid question, but do the number follow any trends?

I see May 07 was a good month, do you know if there's any reason for this?

Well done to the site!!!!!

yeah weird. Then it drops from 15,000 posts to 9,000 the following month. Yet the following month also had the most online, which was double the previous month.

Work that out lol ;D

PS keep up the good work Ash

I have not been a member long, but I have always found this site very helpful with the knowledge from the other users, I can do most jobs on my own car so I guess I am lucky in that way as others cannot, however there are times when I do come across a problem that gives me sleepless nights and has me pulling my hair out but I know i may find the answer to the problem from a member of clubcalibra.

My car should have been scrapped but I continued to work on her no matter what came my way as a problem I am nearly at the end of my project she has been mot'd just needs a lick of paint and maybe some more bits doing

I took my car to CALMAC TYRES www.calmactyres.co.uk the service I received was fantastic and I would recommend them to any owner that lives in the northants area pls check them out

So let's keep ClubCalibra.com the top site for those of us who own the best damn car, the Calibra
