1...Calibra Apprentice
2...Calibra Knight
3...Calibra Master
4...Calibra Council Member
5...Calibra Grand Master (Supreme Master, High Master)

Far better than New Member etc!

Did you read the whole thread Barra?! Same sort of thing as "Calibra Rookie" through "Calibra Mentor". I agree "New Member" etc is boring, and could be changed, but while Calibra is the predominant word, it's going to be giving off the wrong impression.

If Starwars wasn't so crap and highly off the topic of the site, I'd agree with your post. But as it stands, it accounts for neither! :)

Hey hey... liking the "expert" status, I can put that in my parents' face! ;D

Seriously though, the whole "calibra rookie" through "calibra mentor" etc doesn't really hit the right note with me. Especially because the actual "experts" who come on here with know-how will be seen with "rookie" in their status, and knobs like me will be seen as an expert to newbs, giving off the wrong impression imo.

I think you'd be better off with a standard "rookie" through "senior" grade system.

But that's my opinion.

It is actually very differant Dc, no NEW MEMBER or EXPERT  which are quite segregating, EXPERT of what? apart from posting more, at least this suggestion goes in a better order without making anyone feel below anyone else, EXPERT implies that you are better than the others just because you have posted more crap or pissed more people off as in your case

But I suppose its just another excuse for you to have a dig Dc, when it comes to that, you truly are an EXPERT :P

No see, because the point I was making was that if you stick calibra into any of the titles, it implies that's you status on the calibra, and nothing to do with the post count.

In no way suggested using "expert" or anything of that sort, infact you'll find that if you read, I suggested the standard titles that use more of a time-based grouping, "new member, senior member" etc..

When it comes down to it, it's always going to be segregating, as whether you're a "new member" or an "Apprentice", you're still having the same title in different wording.

I will agree with you though, I can dig with the best of them, but this time it's for a valid reason.

I'm not knocking you're suggestions as suggestions, because they're great.. for www.ilovestarwarsforever andever.com, but for a calibra site it's not so suiting is it?

PMSL good point well made, but as you can see the star wars bit was just where I got the idea, yes it is another way of saying the same thing but a better way, what other way is there other than

1/Few posts
2/Few more
3/Lot more
4/Loads more
5/sh*t loads

Lol

once you have some more suggestions put it to a pole and let the members decide what they should be

Can't agree with you more. And would actually prefer your latter suggestion over everything else, plain and simple. Gets the point across without any confusion!

Have already thrown a poll idea out, but like you said, probably need more suggestions first.

In 1st Gear
In 2nd Gear
In 3rd Gear
In 4th Gear
In 5th Gear

simple and related

or just

1st Gear
2nd Gear
3rd Gear
4th Gear
5th Gear
Dear all,

To improve the flow and structure of the site, the following amendments have been implemented today...

MemberGroups
The post count required to progress through the membergroups has been changed, the margins have been moved upwards and the group names changed to reflect the community that we are all within.

Jokes Board
This board is specifically for BRILLIANTLY ENTERTAINING jokes, not for copying/pasting every joke you can find, therefore this board will now be hidden and only visible by members of the 'Mentors' or 'Experts' post count groups.

We welcome your comments and suggestions to help improve the community, please post them here!

Many thanks,

Regards, Ash & ClubCalibra.com

Seems like a few care Robbie!

And good plan Barra, just waiting on the few who care to speak up! :)

The colour scheme is good indeed, but the whole point of this thread is to ask what people want under their names, if you don't care personally, then don't post :)

Sidenote: Change the "(img)xxx(/img) to [ img ]http://xxx[ /img ] without the spaces and your pic will show in your sig.

I've got a suggestion for the user ranking names....(he laughs to himself) some will like it Adam? some will  think its  :D a bit like marmite and some will take the p*ss Dc, but here goes anyway (laughing even louder)

1...Jedi Apprentice (Padawan Learner)
2...Jedi Knight
3...Jedi Master
4...Jedi Council Member
5...Jedi Grand Master (Supreme Master, High Master)

let the laughing begin, but I think it would be a little more fun than the current ones! Or maybe substitue Jedi for Calibra........I.E... Calibra Apprentice through to Calibra Grand Master, you said you wanted suggestions Lol

i love that idea.  although i always thought i was already a jedi!!!
Instant w*nker, just add BMW
